Go Diving
Lanzarote has over 500 species of fish many wrecks, underwater volcanic caves, good visibility (10 – 30 meters) and water temperatures ranging from 18 to 23 degrees. Many of the popular Lanzarote diving sites are easily accessible with both shore and boat diving possible.
Go Surfing
Surfing in Lanzarote is one of its biggest draws and surfers come all year round particularly in the winter when the breaks are at their biggest
Visit Lanzarote Volcanoes
Timinfaya National Park is the best known park and has the lunar scape volcanoes
Sun yourself at the beaches
Lanzarote has a large number and variety of beaches throughout its coastlines; fine white or black sand, calm waters or waves

While not nearly as energetic as Tenerife or some of the Balearic Islands, there is still plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants in Lanzarote to keep most people happy.
Lanzarote with its location in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean is a perfect setting for windsurfing lovers. From April to September the North East trade winds blow regularly from 4 to 6 Bft while during the winter, the wind is more changeable and can vary between 2 and 5 Bft, depending on the path taken by the depressions.
Eat at the restaurants
There are hundreds of restaurants in Lanzarote. Ranging from excellent local Spanish eateries where you can enjoy a cheap and cheerful tapas through to more up market (and expensive) restaurants serving modern international cuisine.

Deep sea fishing, coastal trawling and Marlin fishing which is the main star of sport fishing are all available
Go Shopping
In Lanzarote you will find several shopping and leisure centres as well as an array of stores and boutiques selling all kinds of goods: from perfumes, cloths, jewellery and electrical equipments that can be purchased at very reasonable prices to local produce and handmade crafts.
Visit the markets
Lanzarote is full of organic markets and you can be sure to find high quality fruit and veg that you will find difficult to get at home. There is only one large Spanish style market in the old capital Teguise on a Sunday.
Quad bike safari
This excursion is not for the faint of heart, you are quickly taken around some of the most stunning parts of the Island on road but 80% off road. Through out the excursion you will be able to stop for a drink and to take pictures of the Island. The main trip will last around 3 hours from start to finish and it can be quite tiring.
